Watch as history comes to life with the lighting of Craggaunowen's Fulact Fiadh. Dating back to the Bronze Age, the Fulacht Fiadh is an ancient cooking site which was characterised by a pit dug into the ground which was lined with wood or stone and filled with water.

Stones were heated in a nearby campfire and then placed into the water to bring it to the boil. Quantities of meat were wrapped in súgán (rope made of straw) and placed into the water to allow them to cook.
