Craggaunowen is delighted to welcome back the Fingal Living History group to this idyllic corner of County Clare as they showcase the customs, crafts and culture of our Viking Ancestors on Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st
Taking place from 10am to 5pm over the course of the weekend, enjoy combat displays with warring warriors unleashing their fierce battle skills for visitors to witness.
Learn how these pagan warriors lived during the Viking age and enjoy demonstrations of their many skills including bone carving, leather tanning, candle making and more.
Try your hand at archery. Evidence suggests that longbows were used in Viking times. Under the watchful eye of our experienced archer try out this amazing skill for yourself using a traditional Viking longbow.
There will also be plenty of kid friendly, Viking themed games to keep little ones entertained and enthralled over the course of the weekend.
