Step back in time

Storytelling with Stefan (12 pm and 3 pm)
Join Stefan as he captivates with enchanting tales of Irish Mythology and traditional folklore passed down through generations. Perfect for adults and children alike, your imagination will come alive as you are transported to a time of mythical creatures and heroic gods.

Spinning & Weaving with Anneka
Join Anneka in the Castle as she transforms raw fleece into soft yarn by hand, then dyes it using pigments drawn from local plants. The rich spectrum of colours that emerges reflects both her creativity and her deep connection to the natural world. At her loom, these threads become tapestries, garments, and textiles — each piece as beautiful as it is purposeful.

Music with Arno
Experience an immersive historical music performance with Arno Kilhoffer. Specialising in medieval-era instruments, Arno performs on the Irish bouzouki, ceremonial frame drums, and medieval bagpipes, and even showcases unique skills such as traditional throat singing.

Seán the woodworker
Using an Iron Age replica pole lathe, Seán demonstrates the ancient art of woodturning completely by hand. His work utilises locally and sustainably sourced Irish timbers like Alder, Cherry, and Ash, showcasing a process that connects traditional craft with nature.
